Walt Smith

Walt Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aviation and emergency management. Currently serving as the Director for Aviation Programs at Washington Consulting Group, Inc., Walt has previously held significant roles, including Director at Frontier Gunleather from 1971 to 2012 and District Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration from April 1977 to January 2007, where responsibilities included national headquarters emergency planning. Walt also served as a District Manager and Emergency Coordinator for the Department of Transportation and the FAA from 1973 to 2007. Additionally, Walt has a military background as a Brigadier General (CA) Retired with the California National Guard - CSMR, serving from February 1968 to February 2004.
