Marisa Iati

Marisa Iati is a General Assignment reporter and editor at The Washington Post since November 2019, with extensive experience in investigative journalism. Notable contributions include in-depth investigations into police shootings and online culture, as well as significant coverage of high-profile events such as the Black Lives Matter movement and the January 6th attack. Prior roles include reporter/researcher for American University’s practicum at The Washington Post, local news reporter at NJ Advance Media, and reporter at GIR Just Anti-Corruption, where coverage focused on white-collar crime. Marisa holds a Master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a Bachelor's degree in American Studies and Journalism from the University of Notre Dame.
