Rachel Roubein

Rachel Roubein is a health reporter at The Washington Post since August 2021, bringing extensive experience in health journalism. Prior to this role, Rachel worked at POLITICO as a health care reporter from August 2018 to August 2021, and at The Hill in the same capacity from September 2016 to June 2018. Earlier, Rachel served as a health policy and congressional reporter for National Journal from June 2014 to August 2016, where coverage included congressional dynamics and health policy issues. Rachel also reported on health and human services for The Times Media Group/Carroll County Times from June 2012 to June 2014, and held various editorial roles at The Diamondback during academic years from October 2009 to May 2012. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, with minors in International Development/Conflict Management and Spanish.
