Spencer Nusbaum

Spencer Nusbaum is a seasoned sports journalist with extensive experience in reporting on various sports at both the high school and collegiate levels. Currently serving as a Washington Nationals Beat Reporter for The Washington Post since June 2021, Spencer previously covered high school sports, focusing on multiple sports across over 300 schools in the DMV area. Additional experience includes a role as Atlanta Dream & Big 12 Beat Reporter for The Next, where Spencer published over 50 stories and conducted numerous interviews. Spencer's journalism career began at The American University Eagle, where a significant impact was made as Managing Editor of Sports and Women's Basketball Beat Reporter, alongside contributions to other media outlets, such as High Post Hoops and News for Public Media. Spencer co-founded the online basketball publication Push The Pace and has a strong academic background from American University.
