Ted Johnson

Ted Johnson is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in journalism, national security, and academia. Currently serving as a columnist for The Washington Post and a senior advisor at New America, Johnson previously held notable positions at the Brennan Center for Justice, including senior director and senior fellow. With extensive experience in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic warfare naval officer and commanding officer, Johnson contributed significantly to defense and national security as a research manager at Deloitte. Additionally, Johnson has worked as a speechwriter for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as a White House Fellow, complemented by academic roles at the Naval War College.
