James Byles

James Byles has extensive experience in the media industry, with a focus on advertising sales, contract publishing, and custom content. James is currently the President of Washingtonian Custom Media, where they lead a full-service custom content and publishing arm. Prior to this role, they founded and served as the President of Byles And Associates, a national advertising sales and contract publishing firm. James has also held the position of Vice President of Sales at The Townsend Group, where they mentored staff and developed sales strategies. Earlier in their career, they worked in advertising sales at The Washington Post, where they worked closely with local and regional restaurants to maximize their advertising budgets.

James Byles attended American University and studied Leadership for Public Management and Managing Organizational Conflict. James completed their studies there in 1997. Before attending American University, they graduated from Humboldt State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Additionally, they also studied Political Science at the University of Maryland during the same period.
