Kate Corliss

Kate Corliss is an accomplished journalism professional currently serving as an Editorial Fellow at Washingtonian Magazine since September 2024 and as a Digital Writer/Editor at WTOP News since June 2023, focusing on local news for the D.C. area. Corliss has extensive experience as a Campus Life Editor and News Staff Writer for The American University Eagle, where collaboration with editorial teams and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts were priorities. Notable past roles include participation in the POLITICO Journalism Institute, serving as a Washington Correspondent for the Durango Herald, and internships with the Glastonbury Citizen and the Office of U.S. Congressman Joe Courtney. Corliss holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from American University, where studies commenced in 2020 and are set to conclude in 2024.
