Jeff Hicks

Jeff Hicks has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Jeff is currently the Director of Product Strategy at The Water Institute of the Gulf since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Fernleaf as the Chief Innovation Officer from July 2022 to November 2022, and as the CEO from April 2014 to July 2022. Jeff also served as the CEO of NEMAC+FernLeaf, a public-private partnership, from January 2018 to July 2022. Additionally, they were the Principal at JMH Consulting from February 2014 to December 2017, where they focused on geographic data visualization, map viewer technology, and technical patent analysis. Jeff's earlier experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Locus Technologies from October 2011 to February 2014 and as a Geospatial Software Engineer at UNC Asheville's National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center from November 2006 to October 2011.
