Director of Reentry Programs at The Way Back Reentry

LaHeather Wilson, CPS has worked in the field of criminal justice reform since 2014. LaHeather began their career as a Certified Peer Specialist/Consultant/Speaker/Mentor/Criminal Justice Advocate/Justice Ambassador while self-employed. In 2014, they also took on the role of Mentor Coordinator at Texas Offender's Reentry Initiative/The Potter's House Dallas, where they provided extensive mentor recruitment and training to volunteers for facilitation of various curriculum for women pre-release and post release of incarceration. Additionally, they facilitated Life Skills, Anger Management, Financial Literacy, Empowerment, Substance Abuse, and Employment Coaching classes. In 2021, they became the Director of Reentry Programs at The Way Back Reentry.

LaHeather Wilson has studied Chemical Engineering at Lamar University and Criminal Justice and Corrections at Tyler Junior College. LaHeather also holds a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification from Via Hope.
