Wendy Hornbuckle

Trustee at THE WEBB SCHOOLS

Wendy Hornbuckle immigrated from Great Britain and is a 40-year resident of Las Vegas. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, majoring in athletic training, and ultimately pursued a two-decade career in the hospitality industry. Wendy served 10 years at Caesars Palace as hotel manager overseeing daily operations and then was on the Bellagio opening team in sales management. She has held a Nevada real estate license since 2005.

Over the past 15 years, she has been a highly active philanthropist and community leader in Southern Nevada. Wendy is a founding member of Nevada Women in Philanthropy Organization where she sits on the Executive Committee and has served as chair of several operating committees and is currently chair of Grant Monitoring. Wendy was also instrumental in passing Nevada’s most recent legislation on gun control impacting proper background checks for a safe Nevada.

She remains active in several other charities and organizations helping U.S. vets, autism awareness, hunger, hospice care, JDRF, CIS, Hero’s United, and the arts community in Park City, Utah.

In November 2016, Wendy and her husband, Bill, made a leadership gift to Webb establishing the Wendy and William Hornbuckle Family Endowment Scholarship Fund, targeting students of the Las Vegas valley in hopes that they could attend Webb.
