Catherine Heaney is an accomplished editor and literary professional with extensive experience in various roles within the publishing and arts sectors. Currently serving as a Contributing Editor for The Week since November 2019, Catherine also holds the position of Director at The Estate of Seamus Heaney since 2015, managing the legacy of the renowned Irish poet. As an Associate Programmer for the Borris Festival of Writing and Ideas, Catherine contributes to an annual literary event. Previously, Catherine has held significant roles at Faber and Faber, including Head of Faber Academy and Head of Tutors and Programming, focusing on creative writing courses. Catherine's career also includes curatorial work for 5x15, editorial roles at THE GLOSS MAGAZINE and Red Magazine UK, and a decade-long freelance contributing relationship with The Irish Times.
