Richard Whiffin

Richard Whiffin is an accomplished rugby coach with extensive experience in various coaching roles. Currently serving as the Head Coach for Wales Men’s U20 with the Welsh Rugby Union since December 2023, Whiffin previously held positions such as Attack Coach for both the Welsh Women’s team during the 2022 Six Nations and the 2021 Rugby World Cup, as well as with the Highlanders and Scarlets Rugby. Additional experience includes roles with England Rugby as an Attack & Backs Coach and Head Analyst for the Saxons. Whiffin's coaching career began at London Irish Rugby Club, where Richard focused on backline attack strategies. Educated with a Master's degree in Performance Analysis from UWIC, Whiffin has a solid analytical background demonstrated through their roles as a Rugby Analyst for the Unión Argentina de Rugby during the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
