Jeremy Newman

Jeremy Newman is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in governance and risk management across various sectors. Currently serving as Director at Clarion Housing Group and Chair of the Group Audit and Risk Committee, Jeremy has also held the role of Chair at the Workforce Development Trust since April 2017. As a Panel Member of the Competition and Markets Authority and Senior Non-Executive Director of Open Banking Limited, Jeremy contributes significantly to regulatory oversight and strategic finance. In addition, Jeremy acts as a trustee and advisor for multiple charitable trusts and organizations, including Frontline, where involvement as Trustee and Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee has proven impactful in social work leadership development. Previous roles include Lead Reviewer for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Honorary Visiting Professor at Bayes Business School, and founder chair of Finchley Jewish Primary School Trust. The Workforce Development Trust is a not-for-profit organisation helping employers in the public, private and charity sector to develop their workforce through increasing productivity, improving learning supplies and helping to boost the skills of their employees. The Trust acts as the parent company for Skills for Health, Skills for Justice, SfJ Awards and People 1st. We are a charity governed through a board of trustees, and people are at the heart of what we do.
