Tanya Weinberg

Chief Communications Officer at World Justice Project

Tanya Weinberg has a range of work experience, starting in 1999 as a reporter for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Tanya worked as a senior reporter covering immigration and various other topics until 2004. In 2004, they were awarded a Congressional Fellowship for Journalists and served as a legislative fellow in the office of the U.S. Senate until 2005.

From 2005 to 2009, Weinberg worked as a producer for WAMU 88.5. In 2009, they joined Save the Children US as the Director of Media and Communications, holding the position until 2016. At that point, they became the Senior Director of Strategic Communications at Georgetown University Law Center, where they worked until 2021.

Currently, Weinberg is the Chief Communications Officer at World Justice Project, starting in October 2021.

Tanya Weinberg completed their education with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Journalism from Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism in 1999. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. Tanya'smajor was English, and they also pursued minors in Economics and Women's Studies. In 2007, Tanya attended American University, where they participated in the Producing Film and Video Masters Program from 2007 to 2009.
