LeeAnn Eschbach serves as Secretary for The Wright Center for Patient and Community Engagement. She also empowers the next generation of counselors and human service professionals as an associate professor for The University of Scranton’s Department of Counseling and Human Services, where for more than 33 years, she has served as a mentor and advisor to graduate students navigating the counseling program and their career options.
During her tenure as department chair and program director, she successfully helped cultivate highly skilled learners who prioritize compassion and service to others. She has authored numerous scholarly articles, presented at institutions across the country, and received several professional accolades. She also maintained a private counseling practice for over 20 years, and now uses her free time to help new counselors attain licensing.
Serving the community, particularly in the healthcare sector, has always invigorated Dr. Eschbach, who was inspired to become a board member in 2015 as she believed the organization’s spirit of collaboration and community engagement dovetailed closely with her own goals.
