West Cook YMCA
Jeffrey deBettencourt has a diverse work experience in the field of coaching and aquatics management. Jeffrey started their career as a Swim Coach with NASA Wildcat Aquatics in 2011 and was responsible for coaching and mentoring swimmers. In 2014, they joined West Cook YMCA as the Head Age Group Coach for the TOPS program. Here, they provided leadership and guidance to young swimmers. Prior to that, Jeffrey worked as the Aquatics Manager at Northwestern University, where they managed the aquatic facility and oversaw various programs and operations.
Jeffrey deBettencourt received their Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Illinois Chicago, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in EMT from NREMT in September 2014 and as a Lifeguarding Instructor from the American Red Cross in December 2012.
