Michael Johnston

Michael Johnston, P.Eng., M.Eng, currently serves as Vice President of Facilities, Real Estate Management, and IT Services at The YMCAs of Québec since April 2022. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Director of Facilities Management and Information Technology Services at Cegep John Abbott College from August 2009 to April 2022, overseeing various critical areas such as budget, staffing, project management, and health and safety. Michael's experience also includes teaching Engineering Technologies and Physics at Vanier College and serving as a Senior Group Leader at CAE, where contributions included nozzle design, process engineering, HVAC design for simulators, and project management. Michael holds a Master of Engineering in Shock Wave Physics and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University, as well as a D.E.C in Building Systems Engineering Technology from Vanier College.
