Paul O'Connor

Paul O'Connor is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the insurance and consulting sectors. As a Co-Founder of The49 since June 2018, O'Connor has played a pivotal role in shaping the company's direction. Prior to this, O'Connor served as Digital Innovation Leader at National General from June 2018 to December 2021, and as Co-Founder at Guevara between September 2015 and March 2017. O'Connor’s earlier experience includes a tenure as Consulting Actuary at Lane Clark & Peacock, where expertise in actuarial consulting was applied to various Lloyd's and non-Lloyd's insurance clients, focusing on areas such as reserving, capital modeling, risk management, and product innovation. O'Connor holds an MMath degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, earned between 2006 and 2010.
