Luis Vargas

Luis Vargas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Luis started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Systems Intern at Ford Motor Company in 2014. In the same year, they also worked as a Flight Dynamics, Trajectory, and Controls Intern at NASA Ames Research Center.

From 2013 to 2016, Luis served as a Management Assistant and IT Support Technician at PAL Supports & Services Corp. Following that, they gained experience in the field of data science, working as a Data Science - Threat Intelligence Intern at FireEye, Inc. in 2019 and 2020.

Luis joined the University of Florida as a Research Assistant in 2016, where they worked until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Data Scientist at Alethea Group, starting in October 2021.

Additionally, from 2016 to 2021, Luis pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Florida. Throughout their educational journey, Luis focused their studies on computer engineering and computer science.
