THEARC-Building Bridges Across the River
Sara Lange serves as the Vice President For Advancement at THEARC-Building Bridges Across the River since March 2022, focusing on fundraising and community outreach. In addition, Sara holds a position on the Board of Directors for The Washington Ballet and has significantly contributed as Gala Co-Chair for the 2020 Spring Gala, raising over $750,000 through innovative virtual engagement strategies, as well as overseeing the successful 2018 Spring Gala, which raised over $760,000. Sara's expertise extends to being a Board Member at Imagination Stage, Inc. and working as a freelance Event Consultant, specializing in non-profit and corporate events. Previous roles include Public Relations Manager at Neiman Marcus, Special Events Manager at the National Children's Museum, and Manager of Special Events and Membership at The Washington Ballet. Sara holds a BA in Social Thought and Analysis from Washington University in St. Louis.

Officially opened in October 2005, Building Bridges Across the River (BBAR) at The Town Hall Education Arts & Recreation Campus (THEARC) is a $27 million, 110,000 square foot, state-of-the art campus located in Washington, DC's Ward 8. Twelve cultural and social service partners are based at THEARC, and one off campus, all share the goal of helping underserved children and adults reach their full potential.
