Bruce Johnson

Bruce Johnson is a distinguished legal professional and cultural leader with extensive experience in both law and the arts. Currently serving as an Adviser on the American Law Institute's Restatement of the Law Third Torts: Defamation and Privacy since September 2019, Johnson has been a Partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP since June 1977. In addition, Johnson holds positions as Director at Seattle Opera, Board member and President of PACIFIC MUSICWORKS, and Trustee and Chair of the Seattle Rep Foundation, managing a nonprofit theatre endowment. Johnson's commitment to the arts is further reflected through memberships with Theatre Communications Group and the Pacific Rim Advisory Council. An accomplished author and speaker with affiliations in legal education through the Practising Law Institute, Johnson's academic background includes a J.D. from Yale Law School and an M.A. in History from the University of Cambridge.
