Emilya Cachapero is the Director of Grantmaking Programs at Theatre Communications Group. Emilya has been working in the theatre industry for over 40 years.

Emilya started their career as the Conservatory Director at American Conservatory Theater in 1978. Emilya then became the Associate Director at Non Traditional Casting Project in 1988. In 1989, they became the General Manager at Concordia. Emilya has been with Theatre Communications Group since 1990.

Throughout their career, Emilya has been committed to diversifying the theatre industry and bringing underrepresented voices to the forefront. Emilya has helped countless artists of color and LGBTQIA+ artists get their start in the industry. Emilya is a true champion of diversity and inclusion in the arts.

- Emilya Cachapero attended the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute for their bachelor's degree in creative writing from San Francisco State University.
