Lisa Marie Diliberto

Lisa Marie DiLiberto serves as the Executive Artistic Director of Theatre Direct since January 2019, focusing on theatre creation and production for young people. As the Founder and Lead Advisor of Balancing Act Canada, also launched in January 2019, Lisa leads a national initiative promoting equality, accessibility, and inclusion for performing arts parents and caregivers. In 2022, Lisa co-curated the JUNIOR International Children's Festival at Harbourfront Centre, aimed at inspiring children through arts programming. Previous roles include Co-Creator and Producer for The Tale of a Town - Canada, Founding Artistic Director at FIXT POINT Arts & Media, and various positions at Theatre Passe Muraille, Arts4All, Canadian Stage, and Jumblies Theatre. Lisa is currently a PhD candidate at York University, specializing in Performance Ethnography and Placemaking, having previously earned a Master of Arts in Theatre and Performance from the same institution. Educational background includes training at Ecole Philippe Gaulier and a degree from George Brown College in Theatre Arts.
