TheBoardroom Africa
TheBoardroom Africa (TBrA) promotes exceptional female talent to boards across the continent. We break down barriers to help organisations realise the benefits of increased diversity on boards. We’re accelerating the placement of female leaders by connecting peer-endorsed, board-ready women with CEOs and board executives across Africa and beyond. Board Search with a Gender Agenda Overwhelming evidence shows that businesses with more women on boards perform better. We make it simple to find the exceptional women. We’re working with organisations like development finance institutions, private equity, venture capital funds, and other companies and institutions across the region to create better gender balance in Africa’s boardrooms. Our pipeline of talent, combined with a uniquely collaborative and objective approach, is driving a fundamental shift in the gender balance among leadership teams in businesses across Africa. Preparing the Next Generation of Board Leaders Women remain underrepresented at every level in Africa’s workplaces. Studies show that women still struggle more than men to gain access to their first Board seats, which further exacerbates challenges to boardroom diversity. We’ve created programs that help identify promising women and find them a seat at the boardroom table. From our accredited board training programme, “Open Doors”, to the innovative “Sustain” initiative, we do more to train, place and develop women with the ability to change businesses for the better
