Sir William Russell currently serves as a Member of The Supervisory Board at Telelink Business Services and a Board Member of TheCityUK. In May 2024, Sir William will assume the role of Chair at The Board of the Barbican Centre. Other current positions include Non-Executive Director at Augmentum Fintech, Ambassador for Cambridge Children's Hospital, and Alderman of the City of London since March 2013, with previous roles as Lord Mayor (2019-2021) and Sheriff (2016/17) of the City of London. Sir William has also been a Director at Red Savannah Ltd. since May 2011 and served as a Governor for The Honourable The Irish Society until March 2024. Sir William was involved with Durham University’s Campaign Board for Durham Inspired from January 2019 to December 2022 and held the position of Non-Executive Chairman at CDAM (UK) LTD from September 2014 until December 2022. Sir William's academic background includes a degree in General Arts from Durham University and education at Eton College.
