The Community
Kathy Calvin began their career in 1976 as Press Secretary for Senator Gary Hart. Kathy then spent eleven years at US News & World Report, eventually becoming Director of Editorial Administration. In 1996, they left journalism to join the public relations firm Hill and Knowlton as Senior Managing Director.
In 1997, Calvin joined America Online as Chief Communications Officer and Senior Vice President. Kathy was a key member of the team that guided AOL through its merger with Time Warner in 2000. After the merger, they became President of the AOL Time Warner Foundation.
Calvin left AOL Time Warner in 2003 and is now an Advisor at The Community, a nonprofit organization that helps social entrepreneurs build strong organizations to solve pressing global problems.
Kathy Calvin received a bachelor's degree in communications from Purdue University.
