William Kumprey M.D.

William Kumprey MD is an accomplished emergency medicine physician with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Associate Chief Medical Officer of Emergency Medicine at ThedaCare since July 2021, William works closely with upper-level administration while remaining active in clinical settings. Previously, William held the position of Emergency Physician at Aurora Medical Group and Aurora Health Care, where responsibilities included directing multiple emergency departments and providing high-quality patient care. As an independent contractor through KUMPREY MD LLC since 2017, William has focused on locum tenens roles. William has also served in significant roles such as a Regional Medical Officer and Interim Emergency Department Director, contributing to the advancement of emergency medicine through mentorship, oversight, and quality improvement initiatives. William earned an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin and a B.S. in Biology from Marquette University.
