Marek Slavik

Marek Slavik is an experienced professional in the battery technology sector with a diverse background in developing advanced energy storage solutions. Currently serving as Co-Founder and CSO at Theion since January 2020, Marek focuses on alkali-ion battery innovations, including lithium/sulfur and pre-lithiated 3D silicon anodes. Previous roles include CTO at a stealth mode battery start-up, where Marek developed innovative quasi solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries and cation/anion synergy flow batteries. As CEO at DITECH SGK Inc, Marek led efforts in small to mid-scale energy storage, emphasizing electrospinning R&D for battery materials. Additional roles include co-founding Iontech Systems AG, where Marek advanced synthesis methods for post-lithium cathode materials, and serving as Senior Scientist at Graphene Batteries AS, focused on post-lithium battery R&D. Marek also founded LiTHIO, Ltd and specialized in high energy density battery technologies for e-mobility.
