Martin Schaupp

Martin Schaupp has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Martin currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at theion since April 2023. Prior to that, from October 2021 to April 2023, they worked as the Head of Industry Segment Management Automotive and Automation Engineering at Festo. Martin also served as the Head of Global Industry Segment Electric Automotive at Festo from October 2018 to September 2021.

Before their time at Festo, Martin worked at Manz AG, where they held various positions. From April 2017 to September 2018, they were the Head of Product Management Battery Equipment. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Process Development Li-Ion Battery from October 2013 to April 2017 and as the Supervisor Process Development Li-Ion Battery from September 2012 to October 2013. Martin also worked as the Supervisor Software Development from July 2009 to September 2012 and as a Software and Commissioning Engineer from July 2004 to July 2009.

Martin's earlier work experience includes a role as a Technician for Plastic Welding Machines at Bielomatik from December 1997 to November 1999, and as a Technician for Pneumatic Assembly Groups at Airtec Pneumatics, Inc. from February 1994 to November 1997.

Martin Schaupp attended Reutlingen University from 2000 to 2004. Martin obtained a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Computer Science and Automation during this time.
