Asi Oren has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Asi started their career as a cinematographer, working as a self-employed professional. In 2004, they transitioned into web development and worked as a web developer for their own business. In 2013, Asi founded and served as the CTO of Meidale, a learning management system. In 2016, they worked as a freelance front-end web developer for misterBIT. In 2017, Asi co-founded VIVI, where they served as the CTO. VIVI aimed to enhance the TV viewing experience by providing comprehensive information through a mobile app or browser add-on. Since 2018, they have also been working as a front-end instructor at Coding Academy Israel. Most recently, Asi joined Haaretz as the Lead Interactive Developer.

Asi Oren attended Coding Academy from 2016 to 2017, studying Front-End Web Development. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, they studied Cinematography and Film/Video Production at Beit Berl College Faculty of Arts - Hamidrasha.
