Monty Lunde's work experience includes founding and serving as the CEO and President of TECHNIFEX, a global leader in technical design, engineering, and fabrication of special effects for various entertainment industries. Monty also founded the Themed Entertainment Association, a non-profit association representing creators and developers of immersive experiences. Additionally, Monty worked as a Project Coordinator at Gary Goddard Productions and as a Special Effects Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering.
Monty Lunde earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Design & Human Biology from Stanford University, which they attended from 1977 to 1981.

TEA is the international association serving creators of compelling places and experiences. TEA members include designers, artisans, producers, manufacturers, project managers, technology specialists, operators and developers engaged in the visitor attractions industry - theme parks, museums, casinos, corporate visitor centers, heritage centers, retail, hospitality, resorts and more. TEA is a paid membership association with 1,500+ members worldwide, active on all continents. TEA activities include the prestigious, annual Thea Awards, TEA Summit, SATE conference on Experience Design, and publication of the annual TEA/AECOM Theme Index and Museum Index.
