James Wightman

James Wightman is the current CFO & MD, MENA at Themis. James has over 17 years of experience in finance, treasury, and investor relations.

Wightman started their career in 2003 as a senior external auditor at Baker Tilly (Slater Maidment). James then moved to Inchcape plc in 2005 as an international auditor. In 2007, they were promoted to treasury financial controller & investor relations. James held this position until 2010 when they left to join Mubadala Development Company as senior vice president, finance. Wightman remained with Mubadala for almost 10 years until December 2019 when they joined Themis.

James Wightman attended ICAEW from 2003 to 2006, where they studied ACA. James then attended Newcastle University from 2006 to 2009, where they studied Business & Economics and achieved a 2:1. Finally, they attended Harrow School from 2009 to 2010.

They are on a team with Lizzie Stewart - Project Manager, Bertie Way - Senior Advisor, and Stuart Firth - Senior Advisor. James Wightman reports to Dickon Johnstone, CEO & Founder.
