Phan Quoc An has had a diverse work experience throughout their career. Phan Quoc started working at Rubbery Engineering Ltd as a Factory Engineer in 1990, before moving on to HT Engineering Ltd as the Chief of Engineers in 1993. In 1997, they joined Saigon Shipyard as an Assistant Yard Manager. From 1998 onwards, they worked at Theodore Alexander, starting as a Senior Manager in the Finishing Division and subsequently holding roles such as Senior Manager in Planning, Executive Manager in Human Resources, and Executive Manager in Contractor Management. Finally, they became the Vice President of Manufacturing at Theodore Alexander in August 2008.

Phan Quoc An pursued their education in Business Administration and Management, General, earning an MBA from the Centre Franco-Vietnamien de Formation a la Gestion (CFVG) between 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they studied Mechanical Engineering at Danang University of Technology, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree from 1984 to 1989.
