Miriam Bazan Peregrino, DPhil (Oxon), MBA, has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. Miriam currently holds the position of Vice President Translational Development at Theolytics, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Translational Development Consultant from January to August 2022.

From 2014 to 2021, Miriam served as the Director of Research and Development at VCN Biosciences SL, a company focused on the development of oncolytic virus for cancer treatment. In this role, they were responsible for strategically planning and leading the non-clinical activities of the company's biotech products.

Before joining VCN Biosciences, Miriam worked as a Scientist and Research Manager at the Catalan Institute of Oncology from February 2013 to March 2014. Miriam completed their Bachelor's degree in Basic Biomedical Research from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México between 1999 and 2003. Miriam'sfocus during this time was on biological and biomedical sciences.

Miriam then went on to pursue higher education at the University of Oxford, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) degree in Clinical Pharmacology / Cancer Gene Therapy. Miriam dedicated four years, from 2003 to 2007, to researching and delving deep into this specific field of study.

In 2020, Miriam enrolled in the Esade Business School to further enhance their skills and knowledge in business administration. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA, which is expected to be completed by 2022.
