James Lear

James Lear is an accomplished event producer and creative director with extensive experience in the arts and music sectors. Currently serving as an Event Producer at Creative Lives in Progress since April 2024, James focuses on fostering inclusivity and transparency within the creative industry. As a co-founder and creative director of The Five Points Project, James has established a vibrant community that merges live music and art. Prior experience includes roles as a programmer and artist liaison at The Truman Brewery, Soho House & Co, and Voices Radio, curating events that spotlight the London Jazz scene and beyond. James's earlier positions include senior sales associate at Victor, account manager at Keam George Agency, and various roles within College Music, gaining expertise in A&R and social media marketing. A graduate of the University of Leeds with a BA(Hons) in Music with Enterprise, James continues to contribute significantly to the creative landscape.
