Simona Margutti

Simona Margutti, PhD is an experienced professional with a diverse background in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Simona currently holds the position of Associate Director - Global Brands - Menopause at Theramex since July 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Manager Global Menopause Rx Brands at Theramex from September 2022 to July 2023. Simona also served as a Product Manager - Women's Health at Theramex from December 2019 to August 2022.

Before joining Theramex, Simona worked at Zentiva as a Portfolio Marketing Manager - Associate from February 2019 to January 2020. Simona also gained valuable experience at LGC Standards as a Global New Product Development - Associate Director Pharmaceuticals from July 2018 to April 2019.

Simona's earlier experience includes working at Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Global IP Launch Director from June 2013 to July 2018 and as a Pipeline Portfolio Senior Patent Manager from January 2012 to July 2013. Simona also worked at NMI TT Pharmaservices as a Project Lead Biomaterials Innovation Management from July 2010 to September 2012, and at Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO as an Innovation Manager Life Science and Pharma from January 2008 to June 2010.

Furthermore, Simona worked as a Research Chemist - Business Development at Synovo from January 2005 to December 2007, and as a Lab Head Medicinal Chemistry at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen from March 2004 to December 2007. Simona started their career at Sympore GmbH as a Product specialist Medicinal Chemistry from June 2000 to February 2004.

Simona holds a PhD in polymer chemistry and conducted research as a Researcher at the University of Genoa from March 1998 to June 2001.

Simona Margutti, PhD has a diverse educational background in various fields of study. In 1992, they obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc degree in Chemistry from the University of Genoa. Simona then went on to pursue their Laurea Doctor in Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Genova, completing their degree in 2000.

In 2000-2001, Simona served as a Visitor Scientist at the University of Nottingham, focusing on Supramolecular Chemistry. Simona further expanded their knowledge in chemistry by participating in the Undergraduate Visitor Scientist Program at the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneve in 1995.

In 2004, Simona Margutti began their doctoral studies at the University of Tübingen, specializing in Medicinal Chemistry. Simona successfully completed their PhD in 2007.

Simona continued to enhance their expertise by pursuing further education in Intellectual Property Law. From 2013 to 2014, they enrolled in an Open University Course on Patentrecht für Ingenieure/-innen und Naturwissenschaftler/-innen at the Institute of Distance Learning - Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology. Simona then received training in European Patent Law at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI from 2014 to 2015.

Most recently, in 2020, Simona Margutti obtained a Python Coding Certificate from the ReDI School of Digital Integration, specializing in Introduction to Python.
