Peter Power has an extensive work experience in photography and videography. Peter has been Owner/Photographer/Videographer of Peter Power Photography Inc. since 2014. From 2016 to 2021, they were Photography/Videography Instructor at Humber College and Photography Instructor at Mohawk College. In 2016, they were Photographer for The Rogers Cup with Tennis Canada. From 2014 to 2021, they were Photography Workshop Instructor with Sony Canada and Staff Photographer with The Globe and Mail from 2007 to 2014. In 2021, they became Director, Director of Photography, Editor with Branderos, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer (CCO) with Theranim Incorporated and Photographer/Videographer with Pine River Institute. Peter is also currently Principal Photographer/Team Lead for The National Bank Open with Tennis Canada, a role for which they are responsible for the still photography team providing tournament images for Tennis Canada and their corporate partners, and is the primary liason for accredited photographers.
Peter Power completed their education at the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada from 1982 to 1987, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering/Signals after five years. Peter then attended Loyalist College from 1987 to 1989, studying Photojournalism. Additionally, Peter has obtained several certifications, including a Truth & Reconciliation Course (4 Seasons of Reconciliation) from Humber College in December 2020, Learning to Teach Online from LinkedIn in June 2020, an RPAS Pilot Certificate (Basic Operations) from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in December 2020, and Entrepreneurship 101 from MaRS Discovery District in February 2017.
