Thaís Roque, PhD/DPhil

Thaís Roque, PhD/DPhil, has a diverse and extensive work experience. Thaís is currently serving as the Clinical and Marketing Manager at TheraPanacea. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the clinical validation of AI-driven products, drafting and submitting clinical documents to regulatory authorities, managing strategic partnerships, and representing the company at workshops and conferences. Thaís also serves as the main contact for developing and managing partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and cancer centers. Thaís coordinates research and development projects with internal teams and clinical partners, including grant projects management. Additionally, Thaís is responsible for overseeing clinical evaluation, validation, and post-market follow-up activities, including the preparation and submission of regulatory compliance documents.

Prior to their current role, Thaís worked as a Clinical Partnerships and Research Manager, where they utilized their research experience in developing data-driven models to predict disease progression and patient-specific therapy plans. Thaís has a Master's and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oxford and has held professional appointments in Brazil, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Thaís has expertise in research and data analysis, advanced scientific and policy writing, as well as project design and management.

Earlier in their career, Thaís worked as a Research Intern at King's College London, focusing on tumor texture analysis in the Department of Cancer Imaging at St. Thomas' Hospital. Thaís also gained research experience as a Research Intern at Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina FMUSP.

Thaís began their professional journey as a Trainee Program (apprenticeship) as a Banking Businesswoman at Volksbank Luebbecker Land eG.

Thaís Roque, PhD/DPhil, has a strong academic background in biomedical and medical engineering. Thaís began their education in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Westphalian University. During this time, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Westfälische Hochschule, which they completed in 2013. Additionally, in 2011-2012, Thaís Roque studied Engineering Physics at UFSCar - Alumni.

In 2013, they continued their studies at the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Building upon this, they went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (DPhil) degree in the same field at the University of Oxford from 2014 to 2017.
