Serena Pacilè

Serena Pacilè has a long and varied work experience. Serena began their professional career with an internship at the Azienda Ospedaliera San Giovanni-Addolorata-Britannico in Rome, Italy in 2008. Serena then had an internship at the Departement of Mechanics and Aeronautics, Mechanical and Thermal Measurements Laboratory in 2011. In 2012, they had an internship at the Clinical and educational department of San Camillo Forlanini Hospital. From 2014 to 2016, they were a PhD Researcher and Stager at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. During this time, they also had a Doctoral Researcher role at the Australian Synchrotron and the ESRF - The European Synchrotron. In 2017, they were a Post-doctoral Researcher at Università degli Studi di Trieste. In 2018, they were a Scientific Attache at LPG Systems. Serena is currently a Clinical Research Manager at Therapixel.

Serena Pacilè obtained a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma in 2008. Serena then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2012. Serena also passed the Esame di Stato per l’abilitazione alla professione di Ingegnere Industriale in 2012. In 2013, they obtained a Master Universitario di II livello in Servizi di prototipazione e ricerca per le nuove tecnologie e i nuovi materiali from Università della Calabria. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering from Università degli Studi di Trieste in 2017.
