Hart Shafer has had a long and varied career in the tech industry. Hart began their professional journey in 1994, when they worked as a Physics Tutor for Macalester College. In 1997, they joined Syntrillium Software as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Tech Support Representative, User Education Manager, and Product Manager. In 2003, Hart moved to Adobe Systems as a Senior Product Manager, where they were responsible for metadata workflows and the creation of tools and services to help increase the value of video assets. In 2009, they became Vice President of Product Management at iZotope, Inc., where they managed the iZotope product line, drove product definition, roadmap creation, market positioning, and development process. In 2011, Hart founded TheraSpecs, therapeutic glasses for migraine, fluorescent light sensitivity, visual sensory disorders, and other conditions. In 2012, they became a Lean Startup and Innovation Coach at Principal, and Co-founder of Caper Academy, an independent game studio. Finally, in 2014, they became a Lean Startup & Kickbox Coach at Adobe.
Hart Shafer obtained a B.A. in Physics, with a Mathematics core, from Macalester College between 1993 and 1997. Hart also holds two certifications from the Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
