Michael Curley

Co-Founder, CEO & Director at Thermedical

Dr. Curley is a co-inventor of SERF Ablation Therapy and a cofounder, CEO and member of the Board of Thermedical®. Prior to founding Thermedical®, Dr. Curley enjoyed a successful tenure at Acuson, now part of Siemens. After joining initially as a Mechanical Engineer in 1988, Dr. Curley ultimately founded their Interventional Devices Business Unit and was a VP and General Manager, with full profit and loss responsibility, from 1997-2002. At Acuson, Dr. Curley invented and led the successful development and worldwide introduction of the AcuNav™ Diagnostic Ultrasound Catheter to the electrophysiology and interventional cardiology markets. The AcuNav was quickly adopted as the standard of care for guiding ablation for atrial fibrillation and is still one of the leading diagnostic catheters on the market. With this work, Dr. Curley developed strong ties to the clinical community and industry leaders in electrophysiology, and Dr. Curley was ultimately made a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society in 2014.
