David Gilliam

Senior Project Engineer at ThermoLift

David Gilliam has extensive work experience in engineering and product development. David started their career in 1985 as a Product Development Engineer at Bristol Compressors International Inc. Over the years, they held various positions at the company, including Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Principal Engineer. In these roles, they designed and developed products, performed engineering analysis, built prototypes, and tested them for performance and efficiency. David also supported the products after their production release.

In 2018, David joined Zenith Power Products as a Lead Engineer, where they worked until 2020. Currently, they are the Senior Project Engineer at ThermoLift, Inc., where they are a member of the operations team responsible for transitioning the prototype product into production. Their tasks include developing materials and processes for manufacturing.

David Gilliam attended Virginia Tech from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. David then continued their studies at Virginia Tech from 1983 to 1986, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
