Matthias Widmer

Matthias Widmer is an accomplished professional in the engineering field with extensive experience in research and development, technology leadership, and innovation. Currently serving as the Team Leader of the Technology & Innovation Center at Thermoplan AG since May 2020, Matthias has previously held roles as a Research Engineer and Team Leader of Research Engineer R&D within the same organization. Prior experiences include positions at Hochschule Luzern as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter and Wissenschaftlicher Assistent, along with a Bachelor Thesis project at CARAG AG focused on optimizing a water nozzle for wound cleaning. Matthias also has internship experience at companies such as TRUMPF, Cham Paper Group, and V-ZUG AG, where skills in process optimization, maintenance engineering, and manufacturing fundamentals were developed. Academically, Matthias holds a Master of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, along with an Eidgenössische Matura in Economics and Law from Kantonsschule Zug.
