Jamie Hughes

Jamie Hughes is an experienced professional with a strong background in engineering and commercialization within the advanced materials and petrochemical sectors. As the Chief Commercial Officer at Thermulon since July 2025, Jamie leads initiatives in scaling and making aerogel manufacturing affordable for diverse applications, including EV batteries and industrial insulation. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Commercial and Vice President of Engineering and Development at Imtex Membranes, where Jamie focused on high-performance gas separation technology and strategic partnerships. Additional roles include a consultancy position at Jacobs Consultancy, providing expertise in asset management for the petrochemical industry, and earlier engineering positions at Phillips 66, Atkins, and Rolls-Royce. Jamie holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and is a Chartered Engineer.
