Frank Suarez-Milan has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role as a Product Designer at theScore since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Instructor in UX/UI Design at the University of Toronto, where they facilitated remote learning and provided guidance to individuals pursuing a career in design. Frank also served as a Substitute Instructor for the same field from May 2020 to November 2020.
Before joining the University of Toronto, Frank worked at Resolver Inc. as a Product Designer from April 2021 to March 2022. At Channel 1 Media Solutions, they held the position of Product Designer from November 2014 to April 2021. In this role, they designed cross-functional products and experiences for professional sports industry clients such as the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS. Frank led research and innovation initiatives, created prototypes, oversaw production specs, and conducted design reviews with stakeholders.
Frank's earlier experiences include working as a Graphic Designer at PPG Industries from May 2014 to November 2014. There, they collaborated with international teams, leveraging consumer research to inform design decisions for various brands. Prior to PPG Industries, they held the role of Graphic Designer at PM Design + Marketing from January 2010 to February 2014, where they created brands, visual vocabularies, and various marketing materials. Frank also worked as a Graphic Designer at Borxu Design in March 2012, where they designed and shipped editorial packages showcasing the typography talents of OCAD University's alumni.
Lastly, Frank had short-term graphic design roles at ESEI Solar and CST Consultants Inc. in May 2010 and April 2010, respectively.
Frank Suarez-Milan obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design from OCAD University from the years 2007 to 2012. In addition, they obtained a certification in Front-End Web Development from General Assembly in May 2015.
