Samuel Hua

Samuel Hua has a range of experience in quality assurance and automation engineering. Samuel currently works at theScore as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Security), where they collaborate with different engineering teams to ensure compliance and security standards for customer-facing and operator-facing mobile and web products. Samuel carries out day-to-day automation activities and assists with QA testing during release cycles.

Before joining theScore, Samuel worked as a Quality Assurance Automation specialist, where they focused on automating manual testing using Kotlin and Selenium. Samuel also deployed test runs through Jenkins Job Builder and conducted code reviews on pull requests via GitHub.

Prior to their roles in quality assurance, Samuel worked as a Musician at YesStudy from 2019 to 2021.

Samuel Hua pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Toronto Metropolitan University from 2020 to 2025. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In January 2022, they completed the TryHackMe - CompTIA pentest + Learning Path, TryHackMe - Complete Beginner, TryHackMe - JR Penetration Tester, TryHackMe - Pre Security learning path, and TryHackMe - Web Fundamental Learning Path from TryHackMe. Furthermore, in October 2020, they achieved the Introduction Badge and Unix Badge from PentesterLab.
