Rashaan Ayesh

Rashaan Ayesh is a journalism graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with extensive experience in news writing and production. Currently serving as a Daily Skimm Newsletter Writer and AM News Writer at theSkimm since May 2021, Rashaan previously held the position of Associate Producer at Al Jazeera Media Network and worked as a Breaking News Reporter at Axios. Additional roles include Politifact NC Fellow at The News & Observer, where Rashaan wrote weekly fact checks and created data graphics, as well as various internships at organizations such as the UNC Center for the Middle East and The E.W. Scripps Company, which involved reporting, social media management, and multimedia storytelling.
