Magda Romanska has diverse work experience in various academic and artistic roles. Magda is currently a Faculty Associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. In addition, they serve as a Principal at metaLAB (at) Harvard and as a Seminar Chair for Transmedia Arts at the Mahindra Humanities Center. Magda has also held positions at Emerson College, where they were a Professor of Performing Arts and Theatre Studies and the Head of Theatre Studies. Magda has been actively involved in research and teaching at Harvard University, Yale University, and Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of America. Furthermore, Magda has worked as a Dramaturg for the Boston Lyric Opera and as the Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief of TheTheatreTimes.com. Magda has demonstrated expertise in various areas, including transmedia arts, global theatre, and Russian and European studies.

Magda Romanska received their Ph.D. in Theatre, Film, and Dance from Cornell University, specializing in Theatre History, Performance Studies, and Critical Theory. Magda completed their B.A. at Stanford University, where they participated in the Interdisciplinary Honor Program in Modern Thought and Literature. Additionally, Romanska attended the Mellon School of Theater and Performance Research at Harvard University, focusing on Theatre After Film. Magda also spent time as an Exchange Scholar at Yale University, studying Dramaturgy, Dramatic Criticism, and Comparative Literature at the Yale School of Drama.
