Mel Macaluso has had a varied work experience since 2016. In 2021, they began working as a Full Stack Engineer for theUp.co, where they led the rebuilding of the main digital menu ordering customer web app. Mel reverse engineered the old one, solving the issues that triggered a rebuild from scratch, and generally adhering to the best standards. This resulted in a ~30/40% faster page load, performed ~20% network requests saved and full e2e test coverage (Cypress/Jest). In 2019, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer for Lex Solicitors. In 2017, they were a Frontend Developer for Monaco Digital and Head Of Digital - Lead frontend developer for Monaco Solicitors (UK). In 2016, they were a Co-founder - Lead Fullstack Developer for Capeeshe.
