Jill Carlson has a wealth of experience in the museum and art industry. In 2012, they began their career as a Lead Education Specialist at Victoria's English Center for the French Education Nationale. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Curatorial Project Manager for Appel d'air and as a Researcher for the Department of Audience Services and Communication at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille. In 2016, they held two positions simultaneously, as a Visitor Services Coordinator at the Fondation d'entreprise Louis Vuitton and as an Evaluation and Planning Intern in the Education Department at the National Gallery of Art. Later that year, they joined the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce as a Service Coordinator. In 2019, they began working at YWCA Northeast Kansas as a Marketing and Development Specialist and an AmeriCorps VISTA National Service Member. In 2021, they became the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. Most recently, they were hired as a Public Engagement Specialist - Social Media at the National WWI Museum and Memorial, starting in 2022.
Jill Carlson received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from UC Santa Barbara in 2009, majoring in Art/French. Jill then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Expographie-Muséographie from Université d'Artois, which they completed in 2016.
